A Birmingham-born hairdresser and celebrity stylist has achieved a major career milestone after launching his own haircare range at Selfridges in his home city.
Jay B, an editorial hairdresser, session stylist and digital creator, has seen his four-product Jay B Haircare collection introduced at the Birmingham department store.
The launch represents a return to Jayโs roots after building a career working on red-carpet appearances and styling well-known figures including Rochelle Humes, Eva Longoria and Amelia Dimoldenberg.
Jay spent more than three years developing the collection, drawing on his experience as a professional hairdresser to create products intended for different hair types and textures.
The range includes a shampoo, conditioner, serum and pre-wash treatment, with each product developed around hydration, manageability and hair repair.
โI cannot express how happy I am to see my products on the shelves of Selfridges,โ he said.
โIt really is a dream come true. From growing up in the city and being a fan of Selfridges, it is a real milestone in my career.

For Jay, seeing the collection on the shelves of a store he visited while growing up in Birmingham marks an important personal and professional achievement.
