The Birmingham-based global brand activation agency, rounded up their children to talk to them about why we have International Women’s Day and their views on this year’s theme of #AccelerateAction.
The film shows the real reactions of each child learning for the first time about inequality and the gender pay gap, and their views on the predicted and shocking time line of total parity being achieved by 2158.
This International Women’s Day video teases Folk’s rebrand, that will push the agency into a bolder, more outspoken space. With an ambition to change the creative industry for the better – leading by example with flexible hybrid working, and a 4 day working week, to really empower their employees to create a work-life balance that supports their personal responsibilities.
“When I saw this year’s International Women’s Day theme and saw that full gender parity is on track to be achieved by 2158, I was horrified that this would be beyond the lifespans of our children. So, who better to deliver the message of acceleration than those young voices, who were unaware that gender inequality was even a thing? Hopefully their reactions will strike a chord with those who have the power to make change, maybe they’ll think about the young people in their lives, and it’ll just hit that little bit closer to home.”
